Greetings Daryl
Too much time has passed since we last met for a tour of your school with our friends. It was nice to see you again ad get to see the school in action! The school, staff and you remind us of the movie "Lean on Me", starring Morgan Freeman. However, your demeanor is much different, although your passion for the Lord and the academy are very much the same.

We were so encouraged by your passion for underprivileged children and your goal to give them a new start and a chance for a better future than they had prior to attend WCA. Your fervor and dedication to the school is not only shared by your staff, but enjoyed by the student body as well. The fact that the teachers continue their dedication with the possibility that they might not receive a pay check at the end of the week is amazing to us.

We know that the students are fully aware of their uncertain academic future at WCA because of a drop in financial support from donors. Their needs are great and necessary for this unique institution to continue building futures for these children. We plan on expanding your support team by sharing the experience of WCA with many of our friends and acquaintances. We know that support can be accomplished in many ways, both monetarily, as well as other contributions of equipment and use of talents.

Grandma Speaks Up
Westside Christian Academy is a wonderful school. The teachers and staff have been a great help to my grandson, Brian.

He started WCA in the Kindergarten class. His teacher, Ms Dee did a great job with him. He has had wonderful teachers each year he has been there. They have helped him in so many ways.

Teachers at WCA care for the students. They are very helpful. When a student is in need they are there to help. The love and care the teachers give to the students show that each student is very special to God and them.

I'm so thankful to each teacher and staff member at WCA for all the help they have given to my grandson. I thank the Lord daily for Westside Christian Academy and for what it means to my family and me.

A Grateful Mom
June 2007, for the Shelley-Warren family, marked a year of completion. It was the 7th year that my family has been with Westside Christian Academy. What a joyous time it has been. It actually began in September 1997 with my oldest child in the first grade with Mrs. Graziotti. The love and eagerness to teach was expressed from her toward my daughter brought comfort and erased all doubt as to whether or not I had picked the right school for our family. I could not help but brag this summer to everyone that my fourth child has now become a part of the WCA family. I must say that it was not until we departed from WCA in 2004, only to return in 2006, that I was able to reflect on what I love so much about this school. The loving family atmosphere that the WCA staff members are able to create because of the size of the school, which is obtainable by both my 4 yr old and 16 yr old. Interacting with staff (from Principal to Lunch Lady) who actually take time to get to know you, your child and your entire family is not an attribute that you see in most schools. Most of all, being able to send all my children from k4-11th gr to one school, wearing the same uniform just shows how God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and love anything I could have prayed for my family. WCA has been a blessing to ten of my family members (8 in education, 2 in employment) thus far and we're more than grateful. Keep Up the good work Warriors!!!!

A Proud WCA Parent
Blessing, comfort, love, realistic and flexible learning: these are words I use to describe Westside Christian Academy. My son and I have experienced rough times with educational institutions until the love and blessing of the teachers of Westside Christian Academy. My son is one of those children that doesn't fit in the standard square box but is just as smart as the children that do. During our initial conference, with tears in my eyes and frustration in my heart, the teachers at Westside Christian Academy comforted my son and me. They advised they are a family teaching unit here. That they work together for the best interest of the child, as well as the parent. They said, "He WILL learn and flourish here." As we come into our third year and into the sixth grade, I feel such a state of peace and trust. I feel so blessed to see how much my son has matured and flourished educationally and socially over the past two years. All it took was a little patience, flexibility and acceptance of learning style. Westside Christian Academy will forever have my gratitude for what they have done educationally and socially for my son. You have to know it is a good place, when you talk about it and you begin to tear from joy.
